Hello caretakers, learning coaches, and students!
We will continue to use the
Renaissance STAR Benchmark Assessment as our universal screener for students in
grades 9, 10, and 11. This assessment will be administered in spring. Students
will complete the STAR Benchmark Assessment in their homeroom teacher's live
lesson room. The assessment dates and homeroom teachers' live lesson link have
been added to your students' Planner. The screening results will be
examined alongside other student data to identify students needing more
intensive targeted instruction in math and reading.
To prepare to take the Renaissance
STAR Benchmark Assessments, your student will need:
- a computer
- your student's username and password
- headphones or speakers
- scratch paper
- pencil
You are welcome to watch this video (scroll down to see the video)
which will provide you with an overview of Renaissance STAR Assessments before
testing. Students mustn't be provided with assistance when answering
questions, their webcam is on throughout test administration, and your student
is in a distraction-free environment. The data will be used to ensure your
student receives personalized instructional support.
If you have any questions, please
reach out.
Thank you!
