🎯 Academic Success

  1. Review and Organize Notes
Go through the notes and materials from each subject. Summarize key points—this will help with final exam prep and future reference.
  2. Meet with Teachers
Ask about any missing assignments, upcoming deadlines, or tips for finals. This shows initiative and may help improve your grade.
  3. Set a Study Schedule
Create a realistic plan leading up to finals. Break study time into manageable chunks and prioritize subjects based on difficulty and importance.
  4. Form Study Groups
Studying with classmates can make learning more effective and engaging—just ensure the group stays focused.

🧠 Mental and Emotional Wellness

  1. Practice Stress Management
Get enough sleep, take breaks, and use techniques like deep breathing or journaling to stay balanced.
  2. Reflect on Your Year
Think about what you’ve learned academically and personally. What worked well? What would you change next year?

📚 Planning Ahead

  1. Write Your Resume or Portfolio
Record achievements, volunteer work, and extracurriculars. This is helpful for college applications, jobs, or scholarships.
  2. Explore Summer Opportunities
Look for internships, summer courses, volunteer roles, or part-time jobs. These experiences boost your resume and help you grow.
  3. Set Goals for Next Year
Whether it’s improving a grade, joining a new club, or preparing for college tests, having goals gives you direction.

Hello caretakers, learning coaches, and students!

We will continue to use the Renaissance STAR Benchmark Assessment as our universal screener for students in grades 9, 10, and 11. This assessment will be administered in spring. Students will complete the STAR Benchmark Assessment in their homeroom teacher's live lesson room. The assessment dates and homeroom teachers' live lesson link have been added to your students' Planner. The screening results will be examined alongside other student data to identify students needing more intensive targeted instruction in math and reading.

To prepare to take the Renaissance STAR Benchmark Assessments, your student will need:

  • a computer
  • your student's username and password
  • headphones or speakers
  • scratch paper
  • pencil

You are welcome to watch this video (scroll down to see the video) which will provide you with an overview of Renaissance STAR Assessments before testing. Students mustn't be provided with assistance when answering questions, their webcam is on throughout test administration, and your student is in a distraction-free environment. The data will be used to ensure your student receives personalized instructional support.

If you have any questions, please reach out.

Thank you!
